Strut Your Vote Fashion Show

Millionaire Models Inc, a fashion entertainment management company, hired The Highsmith Group (THG) to help grow their new community initiative, Strut Your Vote Campaign, through the influence of fashion and music. The Strut Your Vote Fashion Show was held and used as a vehicle to attract attendees and to increase voter participation for the 2012 Presidential Election in young adults ages 21-35.  One of the highlights of the evening was host, Real Housewives of Atlanta Co-star and Fashion Model, Cynthia Bailey. Her social media participation, with over 290,000 followers on Twitter, helped stem a response in ticket sales and a virtual awareness of the event. Additionally, the introduction of the letter endorsed by Mayor Kasim Reed welcoming Millionaire Models Inc to the city of Atlanta.

With over 200 people in attendance and a total of 75 new voter participants, the Strut Your Vote Fashion show reached a wide variety of attendees, including VIP guest, Celebrity Hair Stylist Derek J, Singer and Actress, Demetria McKinney, Ms. Georgia United States, LaKeisha Brooks, Atlanta Dreams Center, Yelena Leuchanka, and Celebrity DJ, DJ FadeIf.

Coverage surrounding the fashion show included: BE Magazine, Endee Magazine, Rolling Out, NV Magazine, and host of fashion news sites and blogs. THG also created a social media presence engaging followers and spurring an informative conversation on the importance of voting in the 2012 Presidential Election.
