New York, NY– On Friday, February 13, 2015 at 10am under the tents at Lincoln Center, 3Seven&8 (3S8); a contemporary lifestyle design of high quality handbags, presented as the official handbag brand for MONGOL. Assembled with luxurious Italian leather, 3Seven&8’s interchangeable pieces assist the modern designs incorporate provocative colors yet playful lines with bold silhouettes inspired by architecture with feminine and organic lines.
Bayarkhuu’s brand, MONGOL is known for her impeccable sense of style and a citizen of the world. Coupled cohesively with her ready to wear designs, 3Seven&8’s 2015 Collection highlighted various runway looks throughout the show keeping guest in attendance simply intrigued. Six hand pick pieces were selected to show including the Pamela in Blush Beige, Pamela in Softened Black, Babette in Big Apple Acid, Babette in Softened Black, Lea in Softened Black, and the Lea in Dazzling Dark that fashioned the perfect synergy.
Making his New York Fashion Week debut, Designer and Creative Director of 3Seven&8 Christopher Belt says, “I wanted the attendees to recognize a number of the iconic details that 3S8 presents in each collection. One of those is the inspiration drawn from Art Nouveau architecture. This includes our classic “Mosaico” quilting and the use of tassels. Our innovative tamper-proof envelope design adds an additional layer of security. Bags with this feature include “Pamela” and “Babette.” Both have our hand detailed “trapunto”, which evokes the desire to touch the bags.”

About 3Seven&8- The Collection
The collections primary focus was on Spain and it’s architecture, primarily Antoní Gaudí and his Modernisme movement. He was known for organic shapes and colors in his architecture. These aspects have inspired us to incorporate those colors along with some organic shapes in an all around functional structure.
About 3Seven&8- The Designer
Christopher Belt is originally from rural Sheridan, Arkansas. He grew up on Shoemaker Road and knew very early he was destined to become an accessory designer. He worked for Munro footwear in Hot Springs, Arkansas, an American Made custom fit product that is sold at Nordstrom. After graduating from Savannah College of Art & Design with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Accessory Design he became the Designer and Creative Director of 3Seven&8.
